Biography




DJ M.i.F has been working with electronic music and dj-ing for the last 12 years. He started 
out as a techno musican back in 1995 making rave-styled stuff, releasing it in the so-called 
pc-scene. By the time, new local musicans started to show up, and by the time he changed his 
image from only being a techno-producing musican to cover more genres like Rock, Drum'n'bass, 
Hiphop, R'n'B, Trance & House orientated stuff.

Over the past years since 1997 a couple of singer/song-writer-guitarist has been cooperating 
with him, but only on project-level. The first hiphop project was formed in the Autumn in 1998 
and called "Kontant", but ended up again in 2000. At the same time DJ M.i.F had teamed up with
a local well-known DJ called Dennis Fuller. They started up a instrumental Eurotrance-project
called "M/F sub". They got lucky getting a good contact at a dance-orientated label located 
in Sweden and "M/F sub" got a track with on the remixed records compilation called 
"DJ's Only 112".  They got good reponse from the club-djs, but did only make it to the top30. 

In 2001 they got contact to a female singer, started writing new songs and recorded them, got
contact to a very ,skilled dance-producer called Silent D. He re-arrannged the tracks. They 
got more contacts in the recording business, but apperently the record industri in Denmark 
wasn't interrested in vocaltrance influenced dance records, at least not in M/F flop.
So after a lot of trouble trying to get a deal, the project feld apart. 

New projects showed up, but was keept on a more experimental level. In 2005 a dj influenced
music style called "Bastard pop" also known as "Mashup" started getting hyped in Denmark, 
and in December 2005 DJ M.i.F started producing the first mashups. From the start he got 
really good succes, ended up between the 3 best in a mashupcompetition on the national 
danish radio "P3". They started to play alot of his tracks. 

In end of april 2006 DJ M.i.F net-released his mashup between Run dmc & Metallica called 
"Tricky Sandman". It got alot of airplay over the rest of 2006 from mashup-djs around the 
world, and this might be the most known track of DJ M.i.F to this date. But maybe it will 
change one day - no one knows what the future will bring for DJ M.i.F, or what DJ M.i.F will
bring for the future...
